Israel and Turkey

I admit it: since the attack on the aid flotilla heading for Gaza, I’ve been puzzled what to write about it. Usually, I have to let things sink in a little bit before I can formulate an opinion, a way of looking at things, an analysis of what’s going on. But this time, it’s hard.

Not only because of the complexity of the situation and the many unclear factors, but also because so many people have been writing about what’s happened that I wonder what I could ever add. And then I read a piece about the whole situation by an American colleague of mine here in Istanbul, Claire Berlinski. She put all the indistinctions down so distincly, that all I want to do is direct you to her article. Click here and read!
