Economy is emotion

More and more factories closing down? That has nothing to do with any crisis, these people are just not such good businessmen. A global economic crisis? No, it’s not, the crisis will bypass Turkey. Unemployment rising too much? Okay, it’s 13 percent now, but that’s mainly because more elderly people started to look for a job and not because unemployment is really going up. Prime Minister Erdogan has a way of denying that there is a crisis that actually affects people. Of course, economy is emotion so the danger of making people more worried is that they will spend even less and the economy will go down even further, but I think there is a limit to optimism. First, let’s acknowledge there is something going on worldwide and that Turkey is an open economy that is effected just like any other country. Then start motivating people to work together to overcome this situation. Denial doesn’t help.
